Only a few days have passed after a very difficult, both physically and psychologically, match in Brest.
Compared to that match, the Head Coach of the capital team Michal Bilek made a number of changes, some of them were forced ones – because of an injury, forward Pieros Sotiriou could not help the team in the match against FC Okzhetpes, and Uros Radakovic was also injured in the first half, forcing to reshape the game once again.
From the first minutes players of the FC Astana began to act from a position of strength, but they scored precisely in a counterattack, which was done by Marin Tomasov. The result of this attack was face to face appearance of Tigran Barseghyan with the goalkeeper and an earned penalty, which was clearly taken by Runar Sigurjonsson.
In the second half, the nominal guests made attempts to recoup, trying to make crosses into the box, but the ball ended up in their own net. Sigurjonsson cut the opponent’s defense with a pass to Didar Zhalmukan, who sent the ball into the goal.
2:0 is a victory that allowed FC Astana to score 10 points. The capital players will play their next match on August 25 against FC Tobol from Kostanay.
