- Do you aware about what will happen to the championship?
- I don’t know if the championship will start, but if the cases increase, we will not start, but on August 18 we will play in European Competitions, and after such a long break it will be hard. We haven’t played since March 15, and it will be difficult for us.
- Did the administration of FC Astana think about a trip to another country for preparation?
- No, they didn’t. We moved to Almaty to train and play together with other teams. We will play three friendly games before our first European match, and from what I heard, the first qualifying round will probably take place on a neutral stadium.
- How is your time goes by now?
- Time goes by, with training sessions. We are located in a hotel and we have our own gym and our own training facilities. We will be patient until August 18 to see what happens and then we will find out.
- Much has been written recently about your return to Cyprus. What exactly is going on?
- Now it is very difficult to come to Cyprus. I was transferred [to FC Astana – Notes] in January, and I don’t think my team will let me go anywhere on loan, because difficult matches in Europe are coming up. Our goal is the Group Stage of the Champions League or Europa League. At the moment I do not want to return to Cyprus, but I do not close the doors.
- When do you think you will go back to Cyprus?
- I do not know when I will go back to Cyprus. The only thing that matters to me is to be healthy and continue to play at a high level, - Sotiriou said.
