In one of the central matches of the round FC Astana beat FC Ordabasy with a score of 2:1. Acting Head Coach of the capital team Paul Ashworth told about the game immediately after the end of the match:

-Of course, I’m happy with the result! FC Ordabasy is a very strong opponent, this year we are playing with them for the third match – two in the Championship and one friendly, and each time we have a very difficult match.

- What did you manage to change during this week that was at your disposal before the match against FC Ordabasy?

- It is clear that everyone is interested in what the new coach has brought in. We worked this week, it was very hard, because we had players in the national team, Tigran returned only yesterday, Pieros a day earlier. So it was hard to do everything the way I wanted. I think we worked 70 percent of what I wanted. This can be said by the game, before their goal, which did not flowed from the way the match was going, the team showed excellent football. After that we get back at our goal line, I do not believe that there are problems with fitness, because all the teams are now in the same situation, I associate this with psychological reasons. I think we should have played a little smarter at the end and continued to control the match like we did for the first 70 minutes.

- Today you surprised everyone with the squad, leaving Marin Tomasov on the bench. What is the reason for your decision?

- We have a large roster, everyone can play. As a coach, I have to observe in training sessions everyone’s work. Based on their work in training session and how they showed themselves in the matches for the national team, I chose the first eleven. I think that today, I have chosen the optimal combination. I believe that if the players train 100%, they will also play 100%.

- Due to injury, Antonio Rukavina and Zarko Tomasevic could not help the team today. How soon will they be able to play?

- Tony started training, but two days ago he was injured. I think that his recovery will take a month, maybe a little more. Zarko will be able to play in approximately 10 days.
