In an interview with Vesti.kz, the midfielder of FC Astana Tigran Barseghyan told how it was for him to play against his former team, whether the capital club is claiming gold and how it relates to its transfer value. In the 10^th Round of the Kazakhstan Championship, Paul Ashworth’s team beat FC Kaysar.

- Tigran, what feelings did you have in this match, considering that FC Kaysar is an important team in your career?

- It was a pleasure for me to meet old friends before the match and I have a lot of respect for the players and fans of FC Kaysar for all that they did for me last season. But now I am a player of FC Astana, and I will do everything to ensure that my team wins regardless of the opponent.

- Again a tough match for FC Astana, but there is a result, can you say a certain weight is off your shoulders?

- Of course, after the victory, the mood is completely different. But we must understand that this is only one match, we need to work hard to win in every match.

- In your opinion, FC Astana is still in the race for the Championship? What do you think, is it realistic to compete with FC Kairat?

- Only nine matches have been played – that’s not even a half. We are moving forward, trying to win every match, and the results we will sum up at the end of the season.

- Recently Transfermarkt updated the cost of the KPL players, your price has increased. Do you pay attention to such things?

- No, it doesn’t matter to me. It is important for me to help the team to win.
