Tigran Barseghyan: “Every rough patch has its end”
01 sep 2020

One of the leaders of FC Astana this season, Tigran Barseghyan, spoke about the match against FC Taraz, expectations from the continuation of the season and wished the national teams of Kazakhstan and Armenia good luck in the next Nations League matches:

- It turned out to be a very difficult match, the opponent defended very tightly! We had chances to score more, but didn’t implement them. It happens in football, but every rough patch has its end. I hope that we will have better period soon, and further we will go without loss!

- Is it a shame that the goal was counted not for you, but for Rotariu, who just put his leg?

- No, but it is a shame that we lost two very important points. And the fact who scored has absolutely no value.

- Now the team is behind FC Kairat in the fight for the Championship, will FC Astana have time to catch up with its opponent?

- Everything is in our hands, there are still 16 matches ahead – this is more than half of the championship! I hope that after the pause, we will return angrier and stronger, as our players will be recovered.

- The team got the Champion of Montenegro Buducnost in the Europa League. Do you know something about the opponent?

- It is important for us to build on our game! Buducnost is the champion of its country, which means that it is at least the best in Montenegro, where football is of a very good level. It will be an interesting match, and advantage for us is that there is no need to fly anywhere, the match will be held in Kazakhstan.

- Well, in conclusion, we wish you good luck in the matches of the Armenian National Team in the Nations League!

- Thank you! It is always a great honour for me to defend the colours of my country! We will try to please our people with victories! I wish the same to the National Team of Kazakhstan, which will also play two very difficult matches!
