The International Children’s Social Programme Football for Friendship has been implemented by PJSC Gazprom since 2013. Over the past seven seasons, the programme has brought together more than 6 thousand participants and acquired over 5 million supporters.

Programme participants – Young Football Players and Young Journalists – boys and girls of 12 years old. Representing different countries and cultures, Young Football Players unite in mixed teams and by their example show that nationality, gender and physical ability are not barriers to playing on the same team. All participants receive the status of Young Ambassadors and, upon returning home, continue to share the experience gained at Football for Friendship and promote universal human values – friendship, equality, justice, health, peace, loyalty, victory, traditions and honour.

Football for Friendship is supported by UEFA, FIFA, football federations and the world’s leading football clubs, international charitable foundations, famous athletes, politicians, and artists. The project has won numerous international and national awards in the areas of social responsibility, sports and communication, including the world record for the most multinational football training session in history.

Football Center Astana will take part in this programme for the second year in a row. Last year, the pupils of the center, born in 2007, went to an international football camp in Spain, with the opportunity to attend the Champions League Final.

In 2020, Football for Friendship will be held online. A special digital platform will unite more than 10 thousand players of all ages and will become the base for international children’s competitions, as well as a playground where anyone can practice, unite in international mixed teams and play their favourite game in the Football for Friendship format without leaving home.

The new multiplayer football simulation game is based on the core values of the programme such as friendship, peace and equality. The game developer is DataArt. The game will be available on MS Windows, Apple MacOS, Android, iOS platforms.

Football for Friendship World (F4F World) will allow you to organize real-time matches of international teams, for each of the football players in which users from different countries are responsible. Each team has in its squad a goalkeeper, a defender, two forwards, two midfielders, as well as a coach and substitutes. F4F World allows users to join teams or create their own, inviting random or familiar players to them. In addition to the classic rules, for the first time, players have access to matches under new rules based on the Nine Values of the Football for Friendship International Programme: friendship, equality, justice, health, peace, loyalty, victory, tradition and honour.

The release of Football for Friendship World is scheduled for autumn 2020.
